Learning Continuity Plan SY 2020 – 2021

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We sincerely hope that you, your children, and your families are staying safe and healthy during  this unprecedented time.

Amidst the uncertainties and challenges that we are all facing right now, GMS remains steadfast and has been working tirelessly to continually serve the members of our school community.

At this point, we would like to share with you our Learning Continuity Plan (LCP) which outlines the principles, processes, strategies, and guidelines that we will be implementing for the upcoming school year. This document is aligned with DepEd Order No. 007 s. 2020 issued last May 11, 2020.

This plan will be updated as new developments arise. Our foremost priority is the safety and well being of our students, and those who nurture and support them. We know that facing the “new normal” would not be easy for all of us. That is why we ask for your continued support, partnership, and understanding as we move forward.

Thank you for being one with us in this challenging time. Please stay safe and healthy.

Your partner in education,

Green House Montessori School of the Phils.,

PRINCIPLES OF THE CONTINUITY PLAN

Our Learning Continuity Plan will be guided by the directives of the government and will be based on the following principles:

RESPONSIBLE

Protecting the health and safety of   all the members of the school   community: students and their families, teachers and staff, especially those who are most vulnerable and at high-risk, will continue to be paramount to our school plan.

EMPOWERED TEAM

Teachers and staff will undergo rigorous training and capacity  building for blended learning,   COVID-19 response and management, social distancing, cleaning and disinfecting, and other emergency policies and procedures.

FAMILY SUPPORT

This pandemic places parents as the   first-line responders for children’s  survival, care, and learning. GMS would continually provide parents   with support, encouragement, and   actionable ideas to support their  children in this time of crisis.

EDUCATION AND RESILIENCE

As our situation evolves, these principles will guide the actions and direction the school would take, moving forward.

Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances, as well as cooperation of all the members of the school community are essential to the successful implementation of this Learning Continuity Plan.

SCHOOL OPENING

PHASE-BY-PHASE APPROACH

DISTANCE LEARNING

The max # of students will be 8. Half of the students will be online (1 week) and the other half is in the classroom (1 week). For smaller classes, we will also implement this set up.

CAMPUS BASED LEARNING

If and only if it is safe to go back, otherwise; we will continue with  Phase 2 until the year ends.
